We are made to LIIVE with full souls, deep connections and curious minds.

At Tapestrii, we believe that life is meant to be ‘liived,’ not just survived, with intention and imagination. Inherent to this is the practice of rhythms. We find societies today seem to naturally lend themselves towards rhythms of work and busyness, yet struggle broadly to integrate seasons of relationships, rest and reset. As a part of our member community, we invite you into a renewed way of living…

One hour once a day

Our first rhythm is that of the daily pause, taking one hour once a day, ideally at one time. These pauses can be when you wake, on a lunch break, while the baby is napping, before you sleep, or whenever they most naturally fit into your day. They are:

  • Screen free and unplugged

  • Free of talk that induces or highlights stress

  • Still or in movement

  • Give your brain space to breathe

Sundown to sunup once a week

Our second rhythm is that of the sabbath, borrowed from ancient Jewish and other religious practices, this rhythm hits pause from sundown on on day through the entire next day until one rises the next morning (e.g. Friday sunset to Sunday morning).

We know this is a hard rhythm to put in place in today’s society, but strongly encourage creatively looking at your schedule to at least determine how to keep one full day (rising to sleeping) free or full of:

  • Free of tasks with deadlines or duty associated

  • Full of fun and laughter

  • Free of any task or role for which you get paid / related to your employment

  • Full of things that bring fill your soul

Escape normal one weekend a month

Our third rhythm is the monthly getaway (or getastay), escaping your ‘normal’ one weekend a month. If physically possible, this includes leaving your zip code for 32-48 hours once a month…

  • Spending the night in a different bed

  • Exploring a new place or re-experiencing a beloved one

  • Learning or being exposed to something new

  • Unplugging from technology and obligations, allowing them to wait for 48 hours

Take one weeks every trimester

Our fourth and final rhythm is the “season of rest and reset,” one week (with buffers) at the end of each trimester of your life which allow you to truly rest and reset. Our founding CEO has practiced this with her staff in previous leadership roles for nearly a decade and repeatedly found it to bring increased productivity and quality of work towards the business’ mission rather in spite of its dedication of six weeks annually towards this priority. To maximize this, practitioners:

  • Eliminate any meetings, client or case management responsibilities or programming from their schedule for two weeks, including the actual unplug time

  • Dedicate time to catching up and/or preparing for what’s ahead both professionally and personally, one week before, after or half before / half after your week of unplug

  • Dedicate the entirety of your unplug week to true, unadulterated vacation

  • Aim to spend the majority of the the unplug week outside of your zip code

We know, it “sounds nice,” right? We wouldn’t exist if we did not truly believe this life is possible for you, and we would love to opportunity to journey with you to finding your pathway to a life well liived.
